Philanthropy

BodyPowerTRS philanthropy has been primarily focused on supporting prosthetic outreach missions abroad and helping prosthetic facilities with difficult charitable, individual cases, where reimbursement is limited or challenged.

Our preference has been to donate or discount our product technology to these endeavors and efforts rather than to provide direct financial support. In this way we know that the recipients involved are exposed to technology that we know can best improve their lives.

TRS has worked directly with Para Olympians and other athletes in helping them develop specific prosthetic solutions to meet their high performance demands and needs. In 2012 we worked directly with two athletes, who will be participating in the sports of floor volley ball and bicycling, to provide them with modified or customized prosthetic technology, in the hope that they can achieve their Olympic dreams.

A number of our products were inspired by physically challenged athletes who contributed their design concepts to TRS for us to refine, improve and market. The Will Mills REBOUND basket ball TD, The Black Iron Master weight lifting TD, and the HP Hoopster basket ball TD, are three.

We have tried to respond to the needs and wishes of our dedicated and worthy military veterans returning from conflicts abroad, as they go through the difficult rehabilitation, required to rebuild their lives. Responding to requests from Walter Reed Hospital TRS developed both the Hammerhead Kayak terminal device and Lamprey Gun Turret terminal device, both which are now used in the amputee rehabilitation programs at Walter Reed as well as Brooks Army Medical Center (BAMC).

TRS has pledged annual financial support to:
• Wounded Warrior Program
• Shriners Hospitals for Children

Additional Philanthropic Efforts:
• Wounded Warriors
• Camp Hope
• Camp No Limits
