Overview
The RAPTOR SKY HOOK is the first-ever, commercially produced prosthetic accessory for indoor gym and outdoor rock climbing. The Sky Hook was developed with the personal input and extensive, field testing of nationally recognized “one-handed” climber John Sedor. It has no handedness and is functional for persons with either right or left hand absence. The RAPTOR has a slim, solid titanium plate support body bolted to a stainless steel wrist adapter system that fits all USA standard prostheses.
Additionally the Sky Hook has a user adjustable, limited, “rocking” or pivot action. This feature is useful to adapt to various approach angles and pitches. The Raptor is designed to perform in a variety of environments. It comes with 3 replaceable, potentially “recyclable” tips (2 Polyurethane (85 & 95) and one “shapeable” brass) You can grind the brass tip to any configuration you choose or leave it “as-is” with its squared off tip shape. The two “POLY” tips provide extra friction and traction but will “wear-down” with use even though they are constructed of high performance, tough polyurethane.
The titanium support body is cloaked with easily replaceable, high traction “O” ring sheathing for extra traction during “Crack” or “Fissure” climbing to enhance control. Extra tips may be ordered from Fillauer TRS. Tips may be recyclable. If structural base materials in the tips are not damaged credit may be issued for tips returned, at TRS discretion. Your prosthesis and especially your socket suspension and harness should be built to withstand the loads that are experienced in climbing. If you cannot suspend a full body load from your prosthesis and do a “Pull-Up, then you should NOT CLIMB using the Raptor or any other prosthetic device.

Importantly these facilities and professionals ensure that your prosthetic technology and hardware is totally compatible, properly installed and aligned for optimal operation. TRS can help with referrals to certified prosthetic facilities that are familiar with TRS technology, in your area.
*A restock fee of 10% will be issued on all returns unless a substitute product is purchased. A 25% restock fee will be issued on all Grip 5 and Ener-Joint returns.

TRS offers direct limited retail sales to consumers on specialized products (Listed below). Sports and recreational products and accessories and specific replacement parts are available directly from TRS. TRS does not bill insurance companies and all sales under this program are final. TRS products are available in Canada through a distribution arrangement with Myrdal Orthopedic Technologies (MOT) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. MOT serves prosthetic and orthotic facilities throughout Canada and stocks a broad variety of TRS products. MOT coordinates the “Customs Clearance” required on prosthetic goods imported into Canada.
